Itinerary

Day 1Hohhot – Arrival

Transfer to the train station and travel to Inner Mongolia (2–3 hours). Arrive in Hohhot and visit the Residence of Gurun Princess Kejing (Heshuo Kejing Princess House), with ornate halls and gardens reflecting royal Mongolian-Manchu heritage.

Day 2Hohhot

After breakfast, visit Yili Health Valley, the world’s leading smart dairy park, showcasing modern technology and fresh dairy tasting. Continue to Mengliang Ethnic Culture Park (Mengliang Fengqing Garden) to experience Mongolian crafts, archery, and costume try-ons. Later, explore the Zhaojun Tomb (Zhaojun Museum), the legendary beauty’s resting place with rich Xiongnu artifacts and Silk Road history.

Day 3Hohhot to Baotou

After breakfast, drive to the Xilamuren Grassland, a vast emerald steppe dotted with yurts. Take part in a ranch experience with horseback riding or ox-cart rides, Mongolian costume photography, traditional archery, and tasting Suutei tsai (Mongolian milk tea). In the evening, enjoy the Zhama Banquet, a lavish Mongolian feast with throat singing and dance under the stars.

Day 4Baotou to Ordos

After breakfast, head to the Xiangshawan Desert, where golden dunes sing when stepped on. Ride camels, slide down sand slopes, and watch the Mongolian folk dance performance of the Ordos Wedding. In the afternoon, proceed to the hotel in Kangbashi New District, Ordos City.

Day 5Ordos – Departure

After breakfast, visit the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan, a grand memorial where guardians recount tales of the conqueror’s life. Later, transfer to Baotou and take the train back to Beijing.
