Upon arrival at Chengdu International Airport or Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, your local driver will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. These major gateway cities provide convenient access to Tibet, allowing time to relax and prepare for your high-altitude journey.

Take a domestic flight to Nyingchi, known as the “Jiangnan of Tibet” for its lush forests, mild climate, and scenic mountains. Upon arrival, visit the Giant Cypress Nature Reserve of Bajie, Nyingchi (World Cypress King Garden), home to a revered 2,000–2,500-year-old sacred cypress, and stroll through the tranquil park to experience its spiritual atmosphere.

Meals: Breakfast and a welcome dinner

Embark on a scenic overland journey from Bayi District, Nyingchi to Rawu (Baxoi County) (approximately 380 km), enjoying panoramic views of Nnamjagbarwa Mountain (Namcha Barwa) and the surrounding mountains. Stop at Lulang Forest (Lulang Linhai) (“Dragon King Valley”) to admire alpine meadows and pine forests, then visit Gangxiang Spruce Forest, recognized as one of China’s most beautiful forests, and conclude the day at Guxiang Lake, a high-altitude freshwater lake set amidst dramatic peaks.

After breakfast, travel from Rawu (Baxoi County) to Bome County, Nyingchi, passing through the serene source region of the Parlung Tsangpo River (Palong Zangbo River). Stop at Rakwa Tso (Ranwu Lake), often called the “Sleeping Beauty” for its graceful, dreamlike beauty.


Continue to Laigu Glacier (Mi Dui Glacier), Tibet’s largest and widest glacier, and one of the world’s top three largest glaciers. Known as “hidden paradise” in Tibetan, it features turquoise lakes and snow-capped peaks. Guests can walk close to the glacier with crampons, explore the icy terrain, and photograph the towering ice formations and pristine scenery.

After breakfast, depart from Bome County for Basong Tso (Basongcuo) in Gongbo'gyamda County, Nyingchi, with a stop in Nyingchi. Enjoy a tranquil horse ride across the meadows of Lulang International Tourism Town, framed by forests and snow-capped peaks along National Highway 318. Continue to the confluence of the Brahmaputra River and Niyang River, a striking natural landmark.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Basongcuo Scenic Spot back to Lhasa. Stop at Basongcuo Lake (Pagsum Co), also known as “Cogao Lake,” a pristine alpine lake famed for its emerald waters, where you can enjoy a sightseeing bus tour and a serene boat ride amidst breathtaking natural surroundings. Continue along the Mila Mountain Tunnel, a major modern expressway linking Nyingchi and Lhasa, offering striking mountain vistas and a smoother, faster journey across the region.

Begin the day with a visit to Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former winter residence of the Dalai Lama, featuring over 1,000 rooms and a rich collection of statues, stupas, murals, and religious relics.
